What is the GUIDE program?
Guiding an Improved Dementia Experience, or GUIDE, is a new program offered by Medicare to those living with a dementia diagnosis. The program is designed to provide additional care coordination and support to people with dementia AND to those who care for them.
It is completely covered by Medicare for patients with Medicare Part B.
What services does GUIDE provide?
- A dedicated Care Navigation team that’s available by phone 24/7 to answer questions, coordinate care, and provide resources.
- An annual $2,500 voucher for temporary respite care at home or at a senior center.
- Support groups and educational materials to help you navigate the dementia journey.
